May

Image unrelated, but I wanted to give y'all a brief update about what went on in May as this same stuff is going to continue (to some extent) to happen in June.

My partner had a surgery at the beginning of May and was off work for 3 weeks (he's well now despite some complications, yay!). Unfortunately, this wasn't the only thing hindering my work but I also had a health scare that I'm still working through. I've not wanted to discuss this in public because it's very personal and I just want to not stress too much about it and get better.

We discovered a scary-ish lump in early May which, as of today, I know is not-so-scary lump. So that's good! But I'm still going to have to get it dealt with. I'm on some medication to get it shrunk down before the next stage. Before that I've got a whole bunch other tests and visits to the surgery and hospital. So June is looking pretty full work wise and just.. Lots of running back and forth.

All of it, while it's looking much clearer now (I have a much better idea what's gonna happen, what needs done, when, etc), still caused a massive amount of anxiety and a bigger backlog. I really just want to get back in a state of mind where I can work without worrying about any of this. I want to be healthy and draw lots of fun stuff for y'all.

I've felt uncomfortable talking about this as I feel very pressured to try and keep everything looking normal and keeping up appearances otherwise too. Everything's still a bit up in the air and I'm just waiting to catch whatever comes hurtling down. Thank you very much for your patience everyone. I really appreciate it. ♥

Wish you get well soon! 直ぐ快復になってください!

Just take care. You are not required to deal with personal and scary matters of health in public: defend your privacy and just give vague details or no details at all!

❤ take care elli ❤

I hope everything will go well. It's understandable that you'd be reluctant to talk about it, considering it's such personal stuff.

Wishing you both a speedy recovery and that the op goes well ❤️
