Giant polyandrous arthropod-like sophont alien
Added 2025-06-22 12:10:18 +0000 UTCThe isopod-like near-persona alien species designed by generous patron C., in full colour. Like others, this concept started out as a series of rapid pen-and-watercolour sketches based on my patron's original art.
This final renditinon (with different colours) was chosen, and I drew out my ink-pen line-art.
I then added screentones and colours as before - and the final result was very satisfying.
A neat touch was this cute pigeon, which I drew in digitally. It added a lot of character and highlighted the creature's calm, capybara-like demeanour.
