Realistic "My Singing Monsters" commission: Blarret

Created for generous donor O. R., who has been supporting me with realistic commissions of numerous creatures from the My Singing Monsters universe.

This is what the original Blarret looks like in-game; a weasel-like creature with three mouths stacked like a totem pole.

I created this study after the original design.

I thought a lot about a realistic vision of the creature's three stacked mouths. In the end, I ended up grouping them closer together, and having the three separate larynxes and windpipes branch out within a single neck.

I drew the head(s) and the body separately, and later composited them together. This technique enables me to cram more details into a small, complicated part of anatomy while maintaining a smooth, seamless rendition. Here is the result:
