Hadn't done palaeoart for a while - here is Huadanosaurus, a strange, large-headed relative of compsognathid dinosaurs, from Early Cretaceous China.
The info for the skull comes from the original paper that describes it, while I referenced the rest of the body from relatives like Sinocalliopteryx and Sinosauropteryx.
I gave my Huadanosaurus greenish plumage, slightly based on Kakapos, Strigops habroptilus, from present-day New Zealand.
Despite being related to birds, most dinosaurs were likely not as brightly coloured - since being flightless would make them more reliant on camouflage to avoid predators.
