Colourful designs for a client's tattoo

Below are the sketches we tried out before finalising this color design. I experimented with a variety of styles with different media.
Nearly all of these sketches were drawn with depleted boardmarkers (great for that rough textures), and coloured ink. My client picked bits and pieces from three different sketches, and we assembled the final composite below.
I then turned this into a proper line drawing:
By the way, tattoos of my pre-existing works will always be free. (For bespoke designs like the one above, of course, one has to pay.) It means a lot to me for people to carry my artwork on their bodies.

Just remember: Tattoo ink spreads over time, so any fine-details will blur in a few years.
