Will & John

William Hook, the pubkeeper's son. He's a little younger than Jack but will be showing him the ropes.
John Loksley, son of the infamous gang leader. Vily little bugger, old enough to work with the stevedores but could still easily pass as an urchin because of his short stature.
Will and John belong to the original gang of meddling kids called the 'Runners'. They've long outgrown it though, as have the other two members of said group. The last two you'll get to meet properly later, but one of them has already made an appearance in Chapter 1.
The 'Bowline Runners' kid gang in the past and present times consist of children of the dockside workforce as well as urchins. These children will in most cases become members of the actual stevedore gang if they manage to reach adulthood.
