Boof - thumbnails
Added 2017-08-23 11:10:56 +0000 UTCQuite an old set of thumbnails now, of a scene where Anna's meant to meet Jackdog for the first time. Whether or not this scene will see any use, I can't say. For starters it was done with the wrong dimensions. *rolls eyes* And while I want to show Anna as a bit of a spiteful grump in this, I'm not too sure it quite fits (even with knowing the cause of her mood).
So I'll probably end up scrapping it, but I wanted to show it to y'all anyway as it doesn't exactly spoil anything.
Anna's character is meant to be portrayed as a quite jolly, life and story loving person. She has a temper which sometimes flares up, but never infront of her nana. Her grandmother, old Mrs. Goodwill, would rather keep the girl confined in the house and only let her out while supervised by somebody she approves of. Anna's 19, and in Victorian terms that'd already make her a spinster.
Not that she's easily confined. Sneaking out for a cigarette and a drink with the dockers and Morrie is a common theme with her.
One thing about Jack as beasties, if it isn't clear from this:
He can't talk. I want to express his emotions through his facial expressions, but I wanted to steer clear of talking animals (Primals are an exception, they're deities and can only be seen by Jack, so I'll let them have that as a form of communication). He's very good at taking on the role of each beast that he has access to. And to do his job properly, it's quite important throughout the story that he's able to keep this character up with each beast.
