Lastly, if you have a few minutes and read a story here you liked, it would be a massive help if you could leave a review on Amazon for it (I wish it would let you just rate, but people who didn't buy can only review for some reason). It's not required, of course, but it pushes books up in the Amazon algorithm and helps new readers find me.
I get a lot of questions about when is this or that series going to be done. I'm going to keep this post updated with what I'm working on and my schedule so you can see when chapters for your preferred series are coming up. (I'm putting the release dates for the books to be sold, but Patreon should get the final chapters several weeks to a month before they are released)
Upcoming Works:
1) The Plains of Pluto (Imperium Vol. II #2): This is coming along well and I'm trying to see if I can't get it done in the next 3 weeks or so for a release at the very end of March instead of April.
2) The Barons' War (Shattered lands #3): This is outline and Chapter 1 should be out soonish. I'm accelerating the timeline on this because the Blackstar Legacy has to get pushed back.
3) The Blackstar Legacy (The Veilguard Saga #2): This one is about half done, but I need to push it back because the cover isn't going to be done in time for the original planned release (unlike my other books, which are made up of stock art, this series uses actual illustrated covers, which really slows things down). I think this series, which is performing very poorly, will be like Taylor and I'm only going to write 1 a year.
4) Unnamed (False Start #2): I'm about halfway through the outline of this and hope for chapters to start appearing mid March. It may or may not get bumped up for a faster release goal depending on what happens with Blackstar.
5) Mortals, Mythlings, & Mischief (Euryale Academy #1): It's a YA magical creature high school book with a twist. Only a few chapters in and no idea when I finish it.
6) Out of Control (Influence Factor #1): This has changed, it is now much more like the other stuff I'm writing and is planned to be a sort of realistic take on superpower story (or at least a lot less spectacular than superpowers in comic book movies. Think Unbreakable/Glass level of superpower)
Plans
- False Start: at the moment this is planned to 16 books, but who knows if it will go that far.
-Imperium: Volume 2 is planned at 6 books and there is a possibility of several smaller series featuring side characters.
-Taylor: There is no end in sight for this, although we will eventually get to spin off series featuring Kara.
-Shattered Lands: This is planned to 9 books with other series set in the same world.
-Veilguard: This is planned to 9 Books with other series set in the same world.

It hasn't been written yet. I just finished Second Down three weeks ago and it take sme a a month to outline a new book and then 4-5 months to write it. You'll see new chapters post here when the second book starts being written.

(I think it also stands I'm not sure, without inspiration to write this, that what I make would be satisfying and believe better to leave it as it is than tack on an epilogue to have one.)

2024-09-10 21:23:37 +0000 UTCHi Travis, I think you have misunderstood what I have asked you. Write NOT another book, but just a chapter that says 7-8 years down the road. Tabitha or Kyla or Seth says that Charlie did not succumb to the trappings of fame. That Kyla, with her writing songs, made enough money to send Tabitha to veterinary school. Seth, with his contributions has taken care of his family. An aside that Marco is working in a factory, after slinking back asking to rejoin the band, telling all who will listen anymore that he was in the band. Warren talking about how those venues who denied Charlie gigs, confirmed the blackballing by MAC. His contacts within MAC letting him know that some execs were forced to resign because of that, and missing out on Charlie's success. Did Packer and company, get charged with any crime and were they convicted. Did Sydney berate her father about the way he treated Charlie at that tense dinner. Aaron, Harry, Rhonda, et al. What happened to them? The beauty of an epilogue is you don't need dialogue.

2024-09-10 20:57:54 +0000 UTCWhile I don't think I'll ever do a sequel story, I'm also not sure I won't either, so I want to leave it open in case I do. I'll consider this, but I also worry anything I write will be below the quality I want because I'd be just forcing an outcome instead outside of my original planed story (which is why I tend not to extend past the original outline either). It's like when a show goes on too long and jumps the shark. I'm not sure it would be as satisfying as anyone would want.

Warren does another, and then Arthur Eaves. I sure would like to know how Marco turned out. lol. MAC, Sheriff Gibbs (how critical he was about Charlie's career choice), Sydney, Rhonda, Packer, Harry, Aaron, Chef, etc. Nothing from Charlie's point of view. Just from his support group. Would that be something to think about? Thank you for all of your fascinating stories.

I jumped the gun and put it up before the last 3 chapters were written, because I wanted a full month for pre-orders before it went on sale. If you click though, you'll see a pre-order button. 2023-09-21 03:08:49 +0000 UTCNo. Imperium is 2 companion series. books 1-6 is Imperium, and covers the war with Carthage. Then there's a sequel series called Imperium II (same characters mostly) that is another 6 books, so 12 total.

I outline stories down to the individual scenes before I start writing, which is the process I'm currently on for the next Country roads book. I had a deadline for the last Imperium book that I had to churn pretty hard to meet, so it threw off my process, which is why The Sands of Saturn and Dissonance each were written on their own, but I'm getting back on track now. It normally takes me about a month or so to get an outline done (this is when most of the real creative stuff happens, so there it can be less or more depending on how the muses strike), so I hope to start actually writing chapters by April.

I appreciate that you are a pretty fast writer, still I hate waiting too long between books when I am reading a series. Enjoying your books very much.
