Come to Edmonton. We have 3 publicly owned courses. They're affordable, employ union labour, and provide a source of income to the municipality. Most golf courses objectively should not exist, but in rare cases they can be alright.

Golf is The Worst. The courses in Hawaii are disproportionately damaging to the extremely delicate freshwater aquifers of the islands. Literally the worst possible land use. Also, I am once again requesting an episode on Aloha Airlines flight 243 since it's clear that Boeing still doesn't know how to make a 737 fuselage that will stay pressurized. In case anyone is interested: I only listen to WTYP in my podcast app, and not having an RSS feed for the bonus episodes was killing me. Fortunately, Overcast (the best podcast app) has a feature where you can upload and play your own MP3 files.
