the looseness didn’t bother me at all, I am almost an anti-story andy though hahaha not my favorite of his, possibly my least, but that’s more because of the strength of the rest of his filmography relative to the simplicity of this.

I don’t think PT Anderson is a creep, but I’m positive at this point the man has a mommy fetish.

Looking forward to the Pinto Pals technical manual on films wherein a 52 page chapter exists connecting serendipity and hand jobs is expound upon.

You sons of Ander definitely contextualized some of the finer points of this movie. I did have the knee jerk reaction to the age gap. Do you guys think this movie could survive a gender swap? After seeing all the positive reactions to Poor Things I think it's possible, but it feels like it would have to be handled much differently. Maybe that's a boring point to make, but society currently seems to be hurtling towards progressive gender neutrality. It's also interesting to me that the French Dispatch struck me as incredibly self indulgent to the point of not being entertaining to me at all, and Michael equating this piece of work to being the height of self Indulgence feels like both of these directors are drifting in the same direction perhaps? I love that you guys did a deep dive on this, I also love Swaim's energy but it did seem like he stepped on some points that Abe was about to make. Typical podcasting dilemma. Lastly, devoid of context, the title struck me as something terrible that a child would think of eating. Love you guys! Can't wait for K.O.K!

The John Michael Higgins character was based on a real guy who did that.
