Dev Update #81 Progress

Yeah, I know I said the 10th, but I had the time today so I figured I'd go ahead and do it now!

We are at 2367 lines of code, 582 renders, and 1 animation. I am threw the event/week I discussed in a previous post and into the game day proper. Lots of emotion going on in this one during the event/week, and some after. But, the week I talked about that happens at the beginning of the update is mostly MC taking care of what we learned about in the last line of the last update.

There's much more than just that, that's planned for this update however. I'm currently finishing the second scene of the day proper and have one more written. Not to mention the rest of it is outlined! So, as the numbers suggest there's been a lot accomplished so far! We're gonna have sort of a double date type thing, or MC hanging out with Barb and Sam at night. We're doing something with Shelly at lunch, and in the morning we're gonna finally have a chance to ask Paris out on a date! This date won't happen until Ch. 21 Pt. 2. But, the scene I have for how MC asks her is a lot of fun.

Uh... we'll at least talk to or spend some time with just about everyone in this update. So, there's much more than what I've said about it so far. But, I of course don't want to spoil things. Barb will mess with MC about what his punishment is going to be when you hang out with Barb and Sam at night. But, you won't actually get to see it until Ch. 21 Pt. 2. It's also not something you're going to expect either.

While there are a lot of things set up in this update, there are a lot of things that happen as well. So worry not, they'll be plenty of communication with the ladies and forward movement of the narrative. Also like I said this one is going to be long, just like the last update. Longer than a traditional day, because of the week MC is going to be dealing with what I described before.

Something else I need to make mention of or give a final warning on. At this point in the game, there's more significant amounts of dialogue you'll miss out on if you're not in a sexual relationship with a specific girl. Does this mean their scene will be gutted? Absolutely not! All characters are extremely important to the plot of One Day at a Time. There's just some bonus stuff you're gonna miss out on when they wanna tease or generally talk sexy to each other. But, the friendship stuff will never leave! Let's call this more an addition (even thought I've done it to some degree the whole game) than a subtraction.
