Just a quick heads up about Apple iOS and Patreon

If you haven't heard already, I wanted to give you the rundown about iOS's new plans for Patreon. For those subscribing through the Patreon iOS app, Apple is requiring Patreon to use their iOS payment system. Which means Apple will charge a 30% fee on all sales. As a result, any subscriptions made on iOS will cost 30% more than those on Android or the web.
To save money (and stick it to the man), I highly suggest you avoid subscribing through iOS, and if you currently are, switch over to web-based or Android if that's an option. I do not receive any of the extra cost; it all goes to Apple. At the moment, this applies only to new subscribers.
I don't know about you guys, but I'm all for NOT making greedy bastards richer!

It won't affect things on my end at all. The only difference will be, people will get billed on the date they subscribed, as opposed to the first of the month. Everybody who is currently subscribed will still get billed on the first of the month. It's been that way on other platforms for years, so it doesn't surprise me they've switched to this. They're probably using Apple as an excuse TBH.
