Ive started using slightly more durable frames but smaller and lighter electronics to keep the weight down, so any electronics i buy from now on will be 20x20. I think alot of people are going that way now that the smaller pcbs are getting alot more reliable.

2019-12-30 18:49:27 +0000 UTCMust have been a tough call between USB C and Micro USB. Everybody is equipped for micro USB. It's true that DJI's air unit has USB C, but for going to that trouble they get a great benefit. Plus, an FC just wants a COM channel to computer, and USB C is much more than that. The only reason to go to USB C is for convenience. We're ALMOST to the point where it's more convenient to have USB C than micro, but maybe not quite yet.

2019-12-30 17:47:35 +0000 UTCGPS always uses UART, so any FC can do GPS. The SDA/SCL are for the compass, which is included in some GPS units. And yeah that's the intent :-)

2019-12-30 17:16:52 +0000 UTCI still don't like pads vs through hole. I realize it's cheaper and easier to do pads, but it is still not nearly as nice or strong. Event the half hole edge design is at least a compromise that's better than pads.

Ah well, it’s been a great run for me with versions 1 and 2, and I hate that my future FC money will go to another board, but I’ll use your affiliate links when I purchase! I’d consider using a 12 volt rail versus 9 volt - this would make it even more DJI friendly, as some believe a 9 volt rail can sometimes cause freezing due to voltage dropping below minimum. Good luck on the new fc!
