PATRONS FIRST: DJI Analog Mod Latency Test

I asked Le Drib and Zoe FPV to fly the DJI goggles analog mod in the Freeflight Systems warehouse to see if there is too much latency. The answer: the latency is there, but maybe it's still worth doing the mod. Check out this video to find out more (and to see some sick indoor 1S freestyle).

PATRONS FIRST: DJI Analog Mod Latency Test

I'm out. too much DJI shill videos. you obviously don't need my support when you're paid by DJI. goodbye.

The Fatshark goggles are just so sleek and sexy compared to the DJI bulky goggles

Just pick up a used pair of HDOs for $325 and call it a day! The draw back for me is that the 3" range is still difficult to fit a unit into, so DJI isn't the best option at this point. And at that speed range, reaction time is more important than with whoops.

It's the DJI goggles, not just any ground station.

I'm going to hope Byte Frost develops into "close" to what Dji has and keep the gear I have and save for that!

Gah... I was all set for HDO2 but now ...... :F

Are you saying the video in on the dji specifically adds noticeable latency or all video in on all goggles? Cause i run a 5.8 groundstation all the time. Lots of people do. I often switch back and forth if one quad isn't set to the right channel or to fly someone else's. I notice zero difference. Neither does anyone else flying on my grounfstation.

I was hoping for no latency but I guess that's not going to happen. I think personally I'd be ok with the mod with whoops but not sure if I'd want it for 5" stuff. I'm on the fence if I should go all-in with Digital. I currently have a bunch of eagle micros and unify pros which some locals are chomping at the bit to buy off me if I go all in. Ugh, what to do??? it would be nice to go all in and sell the analog stuff to offset the cost. Looking forward to the mod video.

Great video. Latency is a sneaky thing. I absolutely love DJI HD for my 5 inch HD rigs, but will most likely return to my analog goggles for analog rigs.

I have ordered a kit from a facebook page pcbs_for_fpv, he only charges 8€ and 5€ shipping worldwide. Should provide the same mod, but you keep your warranty. Just need to 3d print a holder for it and it will draw power from the same battery you use to power the goggles and plug it in the 3.5mm av.

03Os sound better and better every day...

Ok... Just when I think I've convinced myself to go DJI... If only I could see 6 months into the future before investing a solid grand... And I concur Chris, I wish I was a quarter the pilot Zoe is! (or any of the RR cats for that matter)...

Lol, you ever do something and be like "damn I'm good at drones," haha!!! Drew got me rolling with laughter haha

My take away is Zoe is a dam good pilot!
