Does that Current lead coming from the 4-in-1 go into a RX port of the FC? There doesn't seem to be much information out there about what is on this line. Is it some analog signal or is it a digital protocol line?

OH? I need to learn more about this!!! Does this allow me to eliminate that nasty wiring of the +BAT on the Shunt resister on the FC to get Current draw reading on the OSD through the FC?

Almost no 4-in-1 ESCs support telemetry output currently. But I agree current sense output would be a bit redundant in that case.

It simplifies wiring dramatically. Instead of having to run the main power leads through the FC/PDB, you can run the battery to the ESC and simply run the (small gauge) current sense wire to the FC.

I mean I can get overall current sense from the FC AND I can use the ESC telemetry output for individual ESC sense readings. Do I just ignore this thing? This is happening somewhat with 4 in 1 ESC's. But even there the connectors vary. Some have 5v, some have vBat, some have current sense. Every FC has different capabilities. Board space is at a premium so nobody wants to waste space on a connector for a function they don't use. The main advantage of a defined plug interface is interoperability but what motivation does an FC manufacturer have to interoperate with another company's equipment? That's why you see 4 in 1 ESC's coming with standard plug headers: because they are motivated to interoperate.

Wiring for a 4 in 1 is described in the manual of the FC. Download from the RDQ product page. The layout of the board is dictated by available space. There just is only so much to go around.

Can you spear-head getting the industry to standardize on using interconnects on the FC like the m8cro SMI 1.5mm connectors that are already in the cameras and ESC and Receivers? Why can't we at least move all the signal wires to a standard connector series to make life easier?

Why did you put the inputs for receiver on forward side of jb f4 fc board? I always find having wires running across fc a hassle with battery straps and like avoiding having any. Also would live to see your thoughts on wiring your fc with the new Aikon 4-in-1 AK32.

Smoked one of my RCX 2206/2400 motors with the BLHeli32 Wraith32 35A ESC's on my iFlight Transframe X5 build after flying several packs with no problems. All motors and ESCs were cool. Any advice on the best way to diagnose the cause?

I have an omnibus F4 pro corner build with the ICM gyro and I’m really struggling with mid throttle oscillations the board isn’t soft mounted, which people are telling me to do, but I’m reluctant to softmount a board that has a soft mounted gyro. Brian R Bourdeau Would you suggest upgrading the guts to my 2014 X9D to the Plus Standard? I've already changed to M9 Gimbals, but am having issues with running LUA scrips. The basic Betaflight LUA wont run. Or just buy a Horus X10S? The radio works fine other than the Lua Script Issue.

Still on the LaForge topic... will upgrading both modules to the V4 offer better reception and resistance to bleedover than the V2, or just more features?

I remember having same issue.. project blue falcon had a clip on youtube. I solved it when I had vtx and camera sharing the same ground.. when i had vtx ground from battery pad and camera ground from vtx.. then when I pushed throttle the osd disapeared.. but solved it when vtx and camera shared same ground.. hope this helps

Probably late to the game here. Do you know what would cause my Betaflight OSD to disappear when I raise the throttle? It reappears when I throttle down (below 25%).

Just bought a LaForge V3 a few months ago... Did the diversity module change with V4 or just the main? In other words if I only bought a new main would I get all the new features even with the V3 diversity module?

quad arms and motors run at idle. When throttle stick is raised, the motors spool up, however, they then continue to throttle up even when the throttle stick is lowered. At that point, the throttle stick is no longer working. Pitch and Roll inputs continue to work. This happens with and without props. Any idea what would could cause this? Flysky radio and receiver, it worked until friend crashed in snow. After drying out over night he still has this issue. He mentioned that he had a hard crash as well a day or two earlier. Outside of checking receiver tab in betaflight any other things to check? Possible bad receiver? Thanks!

maybe this is too big for an straight answer, but from time to time the quads I build, on angle mode tend to drift and the drift is exponential over time, all components are new, BF 3.2 I calibrate acc each time, even I do a hot calibration adjusting acc angle using transmitter so, any possible path I can follow?

Its a full 16ch receiver, the 4ch thing is for servos IIRC.

what would you suggest I do about breaking frames I've broken a cheap amazon one (like 16 bucks) and the second one i broke an arm and sandwich plate on my IFlight XL5 they sell the arms but not the sandwich plate and with shipping it costs about the same to just buy a whole new frame on amazon plus faster shipping.. sorry about that tangent. but the question is what do you recommend I do to stop breaking frames or should I just git gud?

I just built my first quad. The motors are spinning in the correct direction. I believe the props are on correctly as well. When I arm the quad it goes crazy and flips over. Any aggregations.

Why is there still no decent software in existence, that can tune a custom quad to near perfection (apart from Gtune, but that's really not up-to-date). I mean, we have machine learning nowadays and all that amazing AI software...just throw a bunch of blackblox-logs with different pid on it and it'll do its thing :D

Building a Norris but the 3.3/5v solder pads came off on the Bardwell f4. Not sure if this is what caused my magic smoke, or I may have overloaded 9v regulator when I attached my camera and vtx to the same 9v pad. Could I have overloaded it? Vtx is akk x2, camera is runcam micro 2

Hey man I know BF3.3 is coming out in a couple weeks. Are you excited about 32k gyro sampling filters? I'm thinking about swapping out my Matek F405-CTR (MCU-6000 gyro)for a F722-STD/FCHUB-VTX combo (ICM 20602 gyro). Also, do you think F7 is necessary yet with BF3.3?

I guess the only question I would have for you is....... after building a custom build 5 inch (or whatever) how should I test to tune? Try and fly with stock config or use someone else's tune. I recently finished my first build.......now what?
