Debut of Morrowind (and the last)

Morrowind was the beginning of Elder Scrolls being in the "mainstream", it was on both PC and the original Xbox. I never had the original Xbox, but I did get to see someone play it.
When I got my Xbox 360, I got Oblivion with it because I'd heard so many good things about Morrowind. I spent hundreds of hours in the world of Oblivion. Oblivion was so well received that when Skyrim came around, it was one of the defining games of that whole console generation.
Everyone knew that Skyrim would be huge, and it could have been one of the biggest games just on word of mouth, based on the reputation of Oblivion and Morrowind, but the marketing was also crazy, and there were tons of memes too.

these two songs in particular really do something to me. Morrowind is such a special little game in all of its clunkiness and inconveniences. I can't really do its vibes justice, its something you have to experience while in the right mindset.
Answer to questions: There are five mainline singleplayer Elder Scrolls games with two spinoffs, an MMO, and a couple of mobile games. The Elder Scrolls 6 was announced in 2018 and we have heard basically zero substantial news about it since.
The games tend to have very serene music that plays while you're exploring, broken up by swathes of silence and combat themes when you encounter enemies. Secunda and both of these themes play while you're exploring, but Nerevar rising is also the title theme. Dragonborn was both Skyrim's title theme and the song that plays when you fight Dragons.
Also, I'm glad you appreciated my comment on the Metroid Prime video (assuming that IS what you were referencing), this channel is quite special to me <3
