The main composers for Unreal Tournament were Alexander Brandon and Michiel van den Bos, who were both very big names in the late 90s "Demoscene." Many of the synths you are hearing in here were popularized by people from that community, especially Alexander Brandon, who went on to compose for other games around that time like "Deus Ex." The entire Unreal Tournament OST is an absolute top-tier on in my opinion. Tons of drum and bass, extremely memorable melodies and interesting rhythms. These songs play on loop on whatever level you are on, so part of the reason they end so abruptly is because they would just play end to end. People played Unreal Tournament for HOURS with some of these tracks, and they are burned into the brain of any late 90s fps player. There is just something about this music that makes it literally never get old to me, and there have been some incredible remixes of this soundtrack that are just as good if not better. While I know you don't usually listen to music from games that has not been requested yet, I will leave this remix album here for you or others to enjoy. I put it on at least once per month when working on a project on my computer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSR5u2xvW8M

Thanks for doing my request! Unreal Tournament was an epic games flagship game for the Unreal engine. They released a few games in the early 2000s but it's been kind of abandoned. Unreal Tournament 4 was a later reboot in alpha but ultimately shut down to make room and resources for Fortnite. A sad reality for all the fans, however UT lives on in our hearts. The comparison between Quake could also be made. While Quake was a significant Arena shooter for the Source Engine, Unreal Tournament was it's counterpart for the Unreal Engine. Both were fantastic games released in the same timeline. The map onscreen was indeed the stage Facing Worlds. A staple Capture the Flag (Blue and red lights on each side) map being very popular. It was known for sniping across the area between.
