I might just end up being the guy who tells you about character themes given my love for Touhou’s wide variety of characters so here goes, ghostly passenger ship belongs to Murasa Minamitsu. She is a ghost who sinks boats using a ladle. This is because of the story of a Japanese Yokai who did the same. This makes it rather funny that she hung out in Gensokyo after the events of Touhou 12 undefined fantastic object considering the place is landlocked with the largest body of water being a small lake. I could explain the first character, Nazrin the mouse Youkai, but she’s honestly pretty simple in the grand scheme of things so I’ll end off with the note that in one of the spin offs Murasa fights using a giant anchor, I think that is pretty cool.
