But I mean I think its good if you like a deep narrative with branching paths and choices you'd love it. Those mid range reviews are from critics who thought the story sections were drawn out and long or just didn't understand peak storytelling XD

So any game with this kind of style as well as HD 2D in most cases is by them. Triangle strategy is a spiritual successor of sorts to grid-based strategy games of old like Final Fantasy Tactics and Tactics Ogre, it can be pretty challenging at times but damn fun to utilize the terrain to your advantage. Glad you checked it out its pretty underrated man.
