So there are a couple of versions of this song. The original version is the one that actually plays in the game. I believe this mix of the song is just a bonus made for the album. There’s also a remix that was created for Persona 4 Dancing All Night.

For context, most Persona games follow a similar formula; You start out in April at the beginning of a Japanese school year as a new kid in town, you make some friends, go on an adventure, and then (in one way or another) leave your friends behind come March. So Snowflakes plays during January and February, as the snow covers the town that you just spent a few months in, solving a murder case with your friends, as you begin to realize that your time here is almost over, and soon you will be returning back home. But because of the strong bonds you forged with your friends, even when you’re apart, your love will always keep you connected.
