im guessing next adapt level up will be trying to make it's efficiency scaling based on danger be relative. increased efficiency for adapting something lower level than him and if he's defeated it or such

2025-08-30 02:38:46 +0000 UTCSo on drive in to work I had a wicked idea. The mana cost of Adapt scales with strength/danger of the target, so what if he gamed the system, just a tiny bit. Take a potato, give it a red/green color and heart shape, and call it a Heartroot. Keep it immobile and defenseless on it's own. Then give it a talent called "Barkbear Shell" that allows it to take full control over any plant that it's roots come in contact with. Give it one or two skills that allow it to grow or shape the plants in the amalgamation, and now the only way to actually kill a Barkbear is to destroy the starchy Heart, which could be anywhere inside. Bonus, the roots of the potato could glow green and spread throughout the barkbear like veins, really leaning into the theme/aesthetic.
