Everstone Daycare - February Demo

Howdy!

I apologize again for the long delay and thank everyone for their patience. Here is the demo I intended to have released by February that showcases the intro sequence we wrote. This demo is entirely story, presenting the first moments your character has in the daycare, how they ended up there, and how they met all the nurses.

As I've explained before, this is my first stab at writing anything, especially anything this long and also ABDL-related, so apologize for any mistakes in pacing or consistency as a result of my inexperience. I've also tried my best to integrate introducing the UI elements during the course of the story instead of dumping it on players all at once at the end.

I'd love to hear your feedback on what parts you liked, what parts you didn't like, what want changed, or whatever feedback you'd like to give us about the demo. I'd love to know the average amount of time people took to finish going through the story as it'll help me get a better feel for how long I want the game to be in the end.

Again, to reiterate, please note that all the artwork present in the demo is still just a rough draft and isn’t representative of how it will look in the final game.

Without further ado, with art from Spooky and music from Tennet, please enjoy the demo!

Install Instructions

Everstone Daycare - February Demo

Comments

Now that I've caught up, I have another comment on this.... I think I'm going to call this particular type of VN of the *clears throat* Pokemon Mystery Daycare variety. Gengar being involved in this project is icing on top of the cake and gets me excited for the character all the more! Also from the perspective of the nurses, it also digs me more into the world as to essentially what types of things are outside of the nursery that the idea that you'd want to leave after being treated so well, (unless you're a troublemaker of course!) is so shocking to them (scandalous!) That it is treated as the highest offense. :P

I'm excited because you made it explicit that the character wants escape. Even if the truth about Gengar CAN be found, it would also mean showing that you DID want to escape. It's such a great set-up; and was the only thing that lightly struck me as odd, since Mew's check-up is all magical more or less and is loosely defined. Didn't know limits or possibilities. ;p

Greg Jacobs

The idea for that scene was more on the side of "setting your brain right side up" as opposed to her doing any actual digging through your mind. That doesn't dispel the possibility of Mew knowing that you're telling the truth when the topic of Gengar is brought to the table, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there~

My other remark is I absolutely adore the line of 'Nurses are held PERSONALLY responsible for misbehavior.' While I doubt you'd go so far, it'd be cute to misbehave so much with a certain Nurse and get them sent to the Daycare. ;p Even so, it's going to be amazing to see the personal investment that misbehavior will cause with each caretaker.

Greg Jacobs

I have a quick story question of sorts. Mew is able to discern 'false memories', so in the event of what Gengar does; wouldn't Mew be able to know the truth? Even if the staff is disinclined to believe you; it seems like you'd could simply request Mew check on your memories when you meet them next. I'm curious whether that'll be a thing or not, and how Mew would react to the request. Could be the ultimate endgoal. Behave really well and earn some trust, or behave poorly and it won't matter.

Still getting into things at the very start, but my GOODNESS, this has done a phenomenal job getting me interested. I don't usually get interested in VNs, but the combination of your wonderful writing and excellent premise have totally sold me on this. I'll definitely be looking forward to playing more on my days off this week! I have noticed a typo or two here or there, but given that this is a demo and far from a final product, that's hardly a mark against you! That said, if you ever need help with proofreading or editing, I'd be more than happy to offer my help!

Fair enough thank you for responding though.

Unfortunately, we're currently focusing on making a male protagonist-centered game/story as that is what we're personally interested in, and because of the large amount of additional work making two different versions of art/writing/code simultaneously would entail. However, we are open to making a female option in the future once the main work for the game has been finished.

This is the game I've been dreaming of ever since I became an ABDL. Good job! <3

I love the atmosphere and story you created, and the music really helps immerse yourself in the game. I noticed a couple of typos but it didn’t distract me at all from the story. (Sorry I don’t remember where they where in the story) I do have a suggestion though. I love the MD interview at the beginning but I notice there was no way to select your gender in it which forced me to be a boy in game. Just a small complaint but I identify as a baby girl in these settings and it’s one thing that messes with me when I’m referred as a boy. It’s a small gripe but I feel it would be very much inclusive to include the option to be either male or female like in mystery dungeon. But besides that I loved the intro and the story around it and can’t wait for the next update.

Princess Amber

This is extremely promising, and the music direction and atmosphere is very good. I think you're nailing it so far, and I look forward to seeing more.

Oh heck yeah!

Hooray~
