The Volume 5 notations kick off with a classic: Ryuu-nekos.

While some of this info was floating around the website, we thought it was time to solidify it in officially published book-solid canon.

I really love switching to full-graphite renders for the 'Notations' concept art pages. It just brings a sort of... Soft, rich feel to the world that can be a nice counterpoint to the more solid style of the animation-inspired comic pages.

A few more pages of notations, and that'll be the end of Volume 5! Just in time for the physical books to ship.

News on that while I'm here, actually- I'll do an IGG update probably tomorrow or day after.

The books were supposed to be en-route by now, but the printer switched to a different sub-contractor for the debossing on the hardcovers. This changed the print specs from 2mm of edge clearance, to 3mm of edge clearance. You wouldn't think 1mm would make that much of a difference, but these books are really pushing the envelope on their design! Even a tiny fraction of an inch meant we needed to get into the cover files and rework things, again.

So- our ambition with adding maximum luxury to the books has caused manufacturing delays, to ensure the details all come together right. But we're working through it, and have confidence that we will soon be enjoying the best hardcovers mankind, at his current level of technology, is capable of producing.
