On the horizon

A sudden topographical anomaly, a mountain with a deep central depression - almost like the dormant volcanoes of Earth, surges up in the horizon. Off the southern shore, remnants of a Nian city collapsing into the sea. But something just around the crags of the mountain can be heard. One lone structure stands in the mist, not lost to the sea. It whirs and crackles with energy. Blue-green snaps of light cut through the haze - as do the red of trained ocular sensors on your position.
