July Theme

I have a theme in mind for July!

Menu for a Tropical Paradise Resort!

What comes to your mind when you think of the above? I was planning on basing this on South East Asian vacation spots like Bali but all suggestions are welcome.

Will make new harvestables, food, and drinks!

PS:  I am still working on Farm Fresh veggie meals for this month. Pictures coming up soon!

shrimp, lobster, crab legs, oysters, seafood and hawaiian food!

The Hawaiian Luau: Kuala pig on spicket, poi, laulau, pineapple-honey rice, hawaiian fruit salad, hawaiian sweet bread, and haupia ice cream with mango mousse cake

Denise Curtis

I think of fresh seafood dishes. So dishes that highlight whole fish, shrimp, conch, crab, etc. Like Caribbean grilled lobster, whole fried fish, mashed breadfruit with crab and okra sauce. Also cold, refreshing treats like Fresco (Haitian shaved ice) and grapefruit jam, fresh fruit juices like mango, pineapple, pomegranates, papaya.

i would like some different asian foods like from Laos like papaya salad

Dee

whatever you come up with, will be fantastic. tropical drinks in fruit as glasses would be good.

Tammy Furguson

I’d love new ingredients for Pandan sugar and ube. We could have pandan cookies, ube cake, lumpia, cendol… there are a lot of lovely SE Asian desserts. Plus it’s AAPI month!

Food that can be made with the cooking facility from Island Living - sorry, the word misses me in english. The one where you have a hole in the ground and cover the food up with leaves of banana and palm trees - I would love that. An Earth Oven, yes - https://www.motherearthnews.com/real-food/how-to-build-your-own-earth-oven-zmaz78jazbur/. - https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/australia-food-blog/2015/jul/08/how-to-cook-meat-and-veg-the-indigenous-way Maybe making one for those without IL? It is also a nice touch for off-the-grid living. - https://adanmedrano.com/barbacoa-mexican-beef-cheeks-oven/ - https://www.recipetineats.com/huli-huli-chicken-hawaiian/ - https://www.momendeavors.com/50-delicious-tropical-recipes/ - https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/collection/tropical-smoothie-recipes - https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/collection/caribbean-recipes

Oh I am making Saltfish and Ackee for June!!

MunMun

Mostly I would love tropical cocktails and mocktails for our non-drinking sims! And for food, because we don't have a specified area I'll just throw some ideas out! Ackee and Codfish, Poke, Tres Leche Cake and Arroz con Leche, Rasta Pasta and Callaloo Stew

SugahSpice

I would love to see tropical fruits, coconut drinks with straw, tropical dishes: Coucou and Flying Fish, Crab & Callaloo, Conch Fritters, Fungee and Pepperpot, Mofongo, La Bandera, Creole Bread, Stewed Salt Fish with Dumplings, Spicy Plantains, and Breadfruit, and Jerk Chicken.
