Traditional- Sleeping Dragon

Theoretically finished the sleeping dragon watercolour. I say theoretically but I feel like something is missing, like that the colour balance is off and that I need to do something else.

At the same time, I'm afraid of overworking it and turning it into a hot mess.

Either way it was a great learning excercise, since as much as I liked the look of traditional watercolour, I was never very good at it. Any practice is good practice, right?

Made using watercolour pencils using the 'paper pallet' method, where you colour in swatches on a piece of side paper, wet those patches, and then apply the colour to your actual image the way you would with normal watercolour. I learned a lot by doing this, especially the importance of layering colours.
