Shinshi-Shijin Update: Artist Located!

Ever since vowing to get art for each of my new games, things have been a bit tricky here at Howitt Towers. Finding illustrators has been difficult, especially because I can only offer half of my Patreon rewards in exchange for their work. But I've managed to track down a few people who are interested in helping me out and working together on these projects. One of those people is Daunt, who got in touch with me over One Last Job; that's going to need a few solid tweaks and some more playtesting before it's ready, but I've managed to put together a game about reality-bending haiku warriors in the meantime which is ready to go. Daunt's Deviantart is here, and it's full of beautiful, moody-lookin' boys and sultry ladies. Which is pretty much what I want in a game about gorgeous warrior-poets. http://dauntingfire.deviantart.com/ I'm finding more and more that I'm getting inspired by artists that I want to hire, rather than doing things the other way around, and writing games that will fit their style. Which is exciting, to be honest; collaborative, and not in a way where we're stepping on each other's toes, but doing awesome stuff alongside each other. One other thing about finding artists is that it's made me treat my games with a little more... respect, I suppose, is the word. I can't just throw things out, now. I need to get an idea, and a core rules-set, before I even think about contacting an artist - because I'm gonna pay 'em directly, and I need to launch the game on Patreon to recoup those costs. So maybe you'll find an upswing in the quality of games I produce? I hope so, anyway. Thanks for contributing (if you're one of my sexy and exciting contributors), for your faith in me, and stay tuned for more updates. I hope to get SHINSHI-SHIJIN: WARRIOR-POET released in the next few weeks. Laters potatoes, - G-Money
