Lieutenant Junior Grade Itou shows up briefly during this episode with Toru Hoshina at timemark 00:06:37 of Episode 6. Taller then Toru and very dark, almost black, gray hair. Itou's eyes always appear to be closed or squinting. Susume Yamazaki - Assistant Engineer/Damage Control (White/Orange Uniform) Lieutenant Junior Grade Yamazaki part of the ship's engineering group, but also heads up damage control groups when needed. Yamazaki is stalwart in his commitment to the ship. Tall and strong build with gray hair above his sideburns. Isami Enomoto - Chief NCO of Deck Operations and Boatswain's mate (Orange/Black Uniform with Dark Red Vest) Space Master Chief Petty Office Enomoto is in charge of the ships deck operation which include duties such as Maintenance, cargo handling, operating anchors, responsible for the safety of the ship, crew and cargo and assure that all safety regulations and procedures are followed. Monitor ship's systems as part of their duties for maintenance and operations. All around very busy folks. NCO Enomoto is noted for his ability to make quick decisions. His personality often inspires strong loyalty from fellow crewmembers, who recognize that when needed Enomoto and his crew will be there to back them up. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Gamilan Characters Lord Abelt Desler - Grand Emperor of the Gamilan Empire. While considered young at the Earth equivalent age of 32 years, his power is absolute within the empire. Desler is handsome by most standards and has blond hair. Miezela Celestra - Propoganda minster for the Gamilan Empire. Celestra, from the planet Jirei, is a close aid to Desler and often presents reports of the Gamilan military and Intelligence networks from all fronts. This woman has pointed ears characteristic of her race. She possesses a piercing beauty with her slanted eyes. Celestra keeps her gray silver hair short and combed back. In her position, many high officals fear the prospect of being branded a traitor by Celestra . Redof Hyss - Viceroy of the Gamilan Empire. Second in command of the Empire under Lord Desler. Though quick to be tough with subordinates, his will is completely under the thumb of Lord Desler and will instantly back down in the face of what Desler desires. Unlike many of the members in Lord Desler's close staff, Hyss is not a member of the military and mostly fulfills the function of an administrator. Hyss is slight of build and completely bald. Major Vuol Yaretora (DECEASED) - Major Yaretora served as the strategic staff officer who was responsible for the plan to planet bomb Earth and served as commanding officer of the Reflection Satellite Gun at the Pluto Base. Major Yaretora was bald and wore a goatee beard. Yaretora died during the retreat from Pluto. He volunteered his ship to remain behind to allow Colonel Shulz's ship to escape destruction from the Yamato's assault.

2024-10-05 19:11:18 +0000 UTC100% agree with your initial point re: Starblazers 2199 vs Robotech. Amazing shows both, and there's no need to rank them! Besides, there's way too much of both shows that you haven't seen yet! And it's also worth noting that they're not asking you to compare Robotech to Starblazers, they're asking you to compare Robotech to a modern remake of Starblazers with much more modern sensibilities and mature tone than the original 1979 show. It's not really apples to apples. Will you be checking out the original at any point? Even just the first couple episodes as a special?
