OK, you asked for theories, something about them projecting the mom to the kid and then removing her, about creating an ability to shift the apple by pushing into the steel safe, Dr Bishop seeing himself and Olivia seeing John and different information being shared is suspect. There's something otherworldly that doesn't fit. They're trying to hide it by using it as mind manipulation for the kid, and as a grief response by Olivia, while a potential psychotic thing for Walter, but I think that's to throw us off. There's a flavor of some common reason for all these things. They're altering reality somehow. I just don't know how yet. Is it shifting timelines? Or something like that? I cannot see what pattern (pun intended) is part of this fully. But two people who've been unchanged over long periods of time is what triggered that thought in me: the Observer and the woman abducting people. The writers are being very cagey with it all and it's very well done in creating confusion and lack of threads to tie together yet! Very much like "Lost" to me.

Oh this is great! I love that someone else is watching for the first time with me! If you have any theories, my friend, throw them out there and we can make some predictions!

I'm with you on keeping Olivia and Pete friends. It's what I really liked about The X-Files keeping those two friends for so long. It made for a better show, I thought. At times, though, I wonder if Pete is allowing her to continue to process her feelings about John. We'll see. Great watching a show with you that I haven't seen before, for a change! Still love your insights - but I'm in the dark on all your guesses this time vs with The Expanse.

Thank you, my friend!

I haven't watched it yet, but just so you know: you put the wrong episode number in the title ;) I was confused for a moment there

Blackd0nuts

Ooooo I did not! I've definitely enjoyed his work in the past. Thank you for that info, my friend!

I don't know if you noticed, but the music for the series is done by Michael Giacchino, the same composer who did the Alias series and the latest Star Trek movies.

Thanks for the heads up, G!

The diner guy was Ben, the nice ones are always Ben! "Microwaves." "He's either in on it or a really good liar." "I don't like him." "Or he'll pull out a gun and shoot himself." LMAO dude you're *too* good at reading the scene xD The acting is stellar in this episode, fully agree. Olivia, Walter as always, and man Peter is *so* good. I love how it was Charlie who brought up the birthday situation, too. It's a great way to bring in backstory without it being contrived. Yes, I'm totally into this relationship building between Peter and Olivia. I don't want to be "that guy" but I'd avoid looking at the supporting actor names at the start of next episode.
