Arcane 1x4 - 'Happy Progress Day!' TIMESTAMP / FULL LENGTH Reaction & Review

Oooo great info all around, my friend! Thank you for sharing!

More importantly than the exact amount of the time jump, I think we are supposed to believe that Jinx in Act 2 is about the same age as Vi was in Act 1. The writers of Arcane love their parallels.

Robert Jazo

As far as Vi is concerned she has been in prison ever since Marcus took her. Remember the Council was pushing for someone to get arrested and Marcus used Vi to help get himself promoted especially since his superior Grayson was killed. This series has a lot of parallels "it's like poetry it rhymes." We see is episode 3 how Hextech can be used innocuously to float and teleport a bolt from one place to another and on the other side of the bridge it is used as a weapon and causes the death of our beloved characters. Also, Heimerdinger is not the only one that is wary of magic (arcane) you have multiple people on the Council that are wary of magic. One said "Piltover was founded to escape the warmongering of mages." Another said "My race was nearly destroyed by them." That was the reason Heimerdinger told Jayce not to mention magic. One other interesting thing to note. When Viktor was helping Jayce figure out how to stabilize the Hextech Jayce asked him why and he said something like he didn't see himself as someone that would always be an assistant and that scientists seek discoveries. But in this episode Viktor is relegated to being someone in the background again with Jayce being the face of Hextech.

Thank you! I was guessing around that span but definitely wasn't sure. Appreciate the info, my friend!

I don't think they explicitly tell you how long the time jump is, but most people guess it is somewhere between 5-7 years based off context clues.

Ooooo I see. So its almost like a 'pressure valve'. Also changes my view of Silco quite a bit. HUGE difference between using Shimmer and releasing poison. Thank you for the insight, my friend!

Thank you for this, my friend! Knowing their design really helps to better appreciate the show.

Powder/Jinx is unreal. Ella Purnell for the win...

Without spoiling too much, this series follows a 3x3 structure. It is tight work...

Matt Drahos

Most guess the same here - a bit surprising, but not at all uncommon. Silco does not inject anything; he uses that needle to release the poison from time to time. He has a damaged eye because of the fight and his exposure to the river poisen in the past, and I think from that moment on he needs to release whatever fester in there. For the time period and ages. I would argue that Powder was 10 and is now 16. That's my guess and that is all it is. And if this is the period that has passed, the councillor with the children's toy shows a certain conviction in solving the puzzle.
