That is awesome :D Great info, my friend!

I'm convinced, with no evidence, that the whole 'Caitians used to eat Betazoids' thing was a very subtle cat joke: In a TNG episode where everyone started 'de-evolving', Troi grew gills and other fishy characteristics, indicating that Betazoids evolved from amphibians. So, yeah, the kitty race liked to eat the fish race.

The Naruto Run was the greatest moment of the season next to Twin Twains. As for the Vulcan stuff, this one is tied into the Next Gen ep "Sarek" where the original actor brings him back (Cause they live a long ass time) and it's a good'n. But it was a WHILE before they did a lot of Vulcan stuff again. One or two pop up in Next Gen or DS9, but they had Data and Dax to be the science person with weird emotional stuff going on. It wasn't until Voyager had Tuvok before they started to explore Vulcan philosophy/ behaviors again (Not counting that time Quark SCHOOLED a Vulcan lady on logic). And even he kinda fades to the background when Voy becomes the 7/ Janeway/ Doctor show. Also, he's not Vulcan as a mother f***er.

Agree all around! An absolutely heartfelt and poignant episode done as only the creatives at LD can. I feel the same way about T'Lyn. When she observes herself, she speaks with the same blunt-force-trauma language that any Vulcan would use. That also happens to be very similar to the way one would talk about themselves when suffering from self-esteem issues and anxiety. Honestly I think you nailed exactly 'why' so many relate to T'Lyn. Thank you so much for this excellent observation :) If its possible, it helped me feel even more in touch with the Star Trek/Lower Decks community.

Also T'an saying she's going to "shred those party girls into brisket" absolutely cracks me up every single time lol

This episode is right up there in like my top 5 LD episodes I think. And yes absolutely agree with you S4 is my favourite season and I think you'll feel that just even more by the end. I just adore T'Lyn and also relate to her so much, her speech about feeling like there must be something wrong with her because she's not like other Vulcans, absolutely cut to my soul. For obvious reasons Vulcans have been super relatable to autistic fans since Spock, but to me T'Lyn is even moreso because the way she's written to me feels like how a autistic Vulcan would be. Either way her story and feeling like she doesn't fit really hits home for me, and also the idea that she's finding a place for herself on this ship full of other misfits and weirdos (said in the most positive way possible). I also LOVE Shax in this episode, him talking about security not just looking out for people's physical safety but their mental wellbeing too! My heart! I just love that as a philosophy and it's SO very Star Trek to it's core.
