This isn't done yet, still quite a of detail work left here* before I can focus on the surrounding, organic detailing. I'm avoiding doing the organic stuff because that's the 'easy' part for me.
My weakness is inorganic background elements- especially ones that involve perspective. Part of my plan with making this comic was to force myself out of my comfort zones, which means less pictures of "character in 3/4ths" and more focus on scenery and setting the tone of things. By doing that, I think I'll be able to grow more as an artist overall.
I think overall, even if I'm not done with this scene here (needs more details, like street lamps, signage, debris, signs of life) it's a good start. I'm also going to add some burned out husks around the perimeter, to show that there was a time when this area was bigger...
