Its pretty common for royal road books that have patreons to have one, especially because you can hook up your tiers to benefits on said server pretty easily. Not only does it give people places to discuss spoilers for their respective tiers, but it also works as a place for typos to get put for you to fix as the number of patrons grows, that way you don't necessarily need an editor.
