液タブ保護フィルムとペン先と描き心地😊

今回の投稿は皆様のご支援へのお礼と購入商品とその使い心地をつぶやいてみたいと思います。興味のない方は特に読んでいただかなくても大丈夫です😅

今回はタイトルの通り日頃作品作りに欠かせない液タブの保護フィルムとペン先についてです。

今まで使っていた保護フィルムはつるつるの非光沢フィルムです。

In this post, I just wanted to express my gratitude and share a little update about a product I purchased thanks to your support, along with some thoughts on how it's been working for me.

As the title suggests, this time it's about a screen protector and pen nibs—essential tools for my daily creative work on my drawing tablet.

Until now, I had been using a smooth, non-glare film as my screen protector.

The pen nibs I got are genuine Wacom ones.

これが１０本で１３００円ほどします（ワコムは何もかもが高すぎる😭）

筆圧が強い私はこのペン先の方よりも後ろの部分がつぶれてしまうのか、

すぐにブラシサイズにムラが出てしまいます。

それなりに買い替えているのでもったいないということでこちらの商品を試してみました。

These cost around 1,300 yen for a pack of 10.

(Wacom products are just so expensive 😭)

Since I tend to press pretty hard when I draw, it's not the tip but the back end of the nib that gets worn out first,

which quickly causes inconsistency in brush size.

I’ve been replacing them fairly often, so I decided to try out a different product to see if it’s more cost-effective.

３０本１１００円くらいなので三分の一のお値段です。

純正ではないし当たりはずれもあるようでしたが特に不満もなく使えています。

今回の目玉は前から気になっていた「ペーパーライクフィルム」という代物です。

評判の良さげなエレコムの製品を購入してみました。

This set of 30 cost me about 1,100 yen—roughly a third of the price of the genuine ones.

They’re not official Wacom products, and reviews mentioned some inconsistency in quality,

but I haven’t had any issues with them so far and they work just fine for me.

The highlight this time is something I’ve been curious about for a while: a paper-like screen protector.

I decided to try out a well-reviewed one from ELECOM.

早速張替えをして試してみることに😊（今回の張替え数か所ほこりが入ってしまいちょっと残念な仕上がりに🥹）

レビューでも書き心地が良いという方が結構いらっしゃるようでしたが、実際試してみると・・・

驚くほど描きやすい!!

私の想像よりはるかに描きやすかったです。

確かに実際の紙に描くような感じだと言えるかもしれません。

しかし・・・

ペン先の減り方がえぐいっ!!!

先ほども言ったように普段筆圧強めの私の場合見る見る間にペン先が削れていきます😱

この分だと一作品仕上げるたびにいったい何本のペン先を使わなくてはならないのか！

しかし描き心地はいい～

何ならちょっと上手くなった気もする～～～😚

そこで次なる手段としてこちらの商品を購入いたしました😤

I went ahead and replaced the old film right away 😊

(Though a few specks of dust got under the film during application, so the finish isn’t as perfect as I’d hoped 🥹)

Reviews often mentioned how nice it feels to draw on, and when I tried it myself...

It was shockingly good!!

Way smoother to draw on than I expected—

Honestly, it really does feel like drawing on real paper.

But then...

The pen nib wear is insane!!!

As I mentioned earlier, I tend to apply a lot of pressure when I draw,

so I could literally watch the nib getting shaved down 😱

At this rate, how many nibs will I go through for just one finished piece!?

Still, the drawing feel is amazing...

I even feel like I got a little better at drawing thanks to it 😚

So! As my next move, I decided to purchase this item 😤

あっきーさんという方が職場の旋盤機をちょっと貸してもらい金属商品を作っているという😆　１５００円なり

とにかく擦り減らないということで試してみる価値はありかなと😊

結論的にはペーパーライクフィルムでもおいそれとペン先が減ることはなさそうです。

ただし描き心地はプラスチックのペン先で感動したほどではなくなってしまいます。（当然と言えば当然ですが😅）

ペン先ロングのタイプにしたのは、タブレット上でアナログの定規が使えるということと、ポインターの視認性向上といううたい文句があったからです。

（傾き検知幅の上昇も歌っておられますが、いつも大体同じ傾きで描いているので傾き検知すごいってなったことがない😅）

最終的に線画を描く時はプラペンで、塗りに入ったらステンレスペンに替えるという方法で只今頑張っております。

There’s someone called Akki-san who got permission to use a lathe at their workplace and is now making metal parts with it 😆

Apparently, it barely wears down at all, so I figured it was worth a try 😊

In conclusion, even when using the paper-like film,

this nib doesn’t seem to wear down easily at all.

That said, the drawing feel isn’t as impressive as it was with the plastic nibs.

(Which, to be fair, is kind of expected 😅)

I chose the long type nib because it’s supposed to allow you to use physical rulers directly on the tablet,

and it also claims to improve pointer visibility.

(It also boasts better tilt detection, but I usually draw with the same hand angle,

so I’ve never really noticed any big difference there 😅)

In the end, I’ve settled on this workflow:

I use a plastic nib for line art, and switch to the stainless steel nib for coloring.

That’s the system I’m using right now!

追記：

以前こちらの記事で液タブのフィルムを変えたらとても描き心地が良くなったと書きました。

しばらく使ってみたのですが、当たり前といえば当たり前なのでしょう、よく使う部分はペン先だけでなくフィルムの方も削れてしまうようで、描き心地が損なわれてきちゃいました🥹

１か月もたたないうちにこれではかなりコスパが悪いです。

もしあの記事を見て買ってしまった方がいらしたら大変申し訳ないのですが、一応ご報告しておきますね😅

P.S. In a previous post, I mentioned that switching the film on my pen display made drawing feel much smoother.

After using it for a while, though—well, I guess it’s only natural—but not only the pen nib, the film itself started to wear down in the spots I use most, and I feel like the drawing feel isn’t quite as nice as it was at first 🥹

The fact that this happened in less than a month makes it feel like a pretty bad deal.

If anyone ended up buying it after reading my post, I’m really sorry! I just wanted to share this little update 😅
