Hello! This is an early prototype of a destructible mesh tech I'm developing. It's actually the same ould threaded Marching Cubes code we've been using for the Toilet Realm, but this time I've programmed it to listen for collisions and take damage from them, sort of like Deeprock Galactic or DK Bananza, but way lower spec to run on everyone's machines.
I think my goal is to put these in the sky above the overworld, like those planetoids outside of Mrs. Slitherss class, and put stuff on them, so 'planetary' exploration and mining may become an interesting mechanic.
Next week I plan to convert this prototype to a more optimized and featureful general system that can be used for other kinds of destructible things in the game. If I can get the tech to run well enough on older computers, then I'd like to add stuff like minable juice deposits to the game as well.
