Fox's Dream Pt. 1

Spoiler warning for this one as we are getting closer to the actual update. I'm hoping to have it ready to test by next Monday or Tuesday.
This time, I've been working on the level design for the dream area. In order to evoke a dreamlike feeling of smallness and vulnerability, I have increased the size of everything 3x, leaving the player and lil' Mr. Fox small. I like how spacious and atmospheric the place is now.
Next up I will be placing the pages around the map and working on the flow of the quest. I want to direct the player into the cellar, and then have some spooky things happen down there before they return to the surface for maximum spookage. Finally, I'll be working on the boss fight itself, hoping to fix some problems and add some new attacks.
Working on horror is fun, but I am keeping in mind not to traumatize my dear players. It should be spooky, but not too horrifying or disturbing. Maybe we can do a scary side project sometime though ^,,^

2024-10-22 22:59:32 +0000 UTCI swear these updates are too good to be true. something completely unrelated but I still think is really cool is recently I figured out that If you fly straight up for a while eventually you’ll hit a ceiling made out of plywood which I think is hilarious. by far the best Easter egg i’ve seen in a game.

2024-10-19 18:28:23 +0000 UTCHmm, good question, that would be pretty sick. I experimented with a similar effect earlier this month but hit some dead end that I cannot remember. It is possible, but would take a good chunk of work so I decided not to mess with it for now.

Man it's been a long time since we've seen that structure. Also poor Dream Eater spazzing out like that. Maybe he drank too much juice and now has too much energy or something. I can't wait to start trying it out! Great work!
