YouTube Knows Me Now
Added 2018-11-25 22:32:57 +0000 UTCHey guys, thought I might message you again to let you know how things are doing with the channel. In short, the last week has been nuts.
First, my Sibelius video is growing very nicely. It's easily the most successful I've ever released and has resulted in all the competing notation apps getting in touch to offer press support. It's the first time my channel has been taken seriously.
Secondly, some of my older videos have suddenly picked up too (especially the guitar one, which surprises me). I think what's happened is YouTube has associated me with larger channels, like Adam Neely (who also got in touch) and I'm beginning to find a more appropriate audience.
To put it in perspective: 5 days ago, I had 7,750 subscribers and the highest amount of views I ever got in a day was 7K (when Reddit once put my video on its homepage). Apart from that, I'd be lucky to get 400 views in a day.
Today alone, I've got 2K new subscribers and slightly over 60K channel views. With any luck, that upward trend will continue. And with a few decent new videos, I may eventually get up there with the big boys.
You guys are the absolute first to put any faith in me and I really do appreciate it. It makes me proud to know that I could potentially turn this into a full time gig one day. If so, I'll be able to release much better stuff than I do now - and I'll have you to thank.
So... thanks again!
Martin
