0.3 Alpha is crossing the finish line!
Added 2022-11-09 14:13:11 +0000 UTCWith the alpha in it's final stages, I've requested help for it's remaining bug fixes in order to get some momentum on new projects, armor has been talked about but has not been prototyped too much until now, am working on the proper spine for the entire system, to those unaware here is a few key points to the upcoming armor system
It will be separate from MC armor, so you'd be able to wear both!
TaC armor has classes, ranging from 1-(4 or 5 at the top end), each class can stop a limited set of calibers entirely, while calibers above damage will be reduced to a certain extent (A bullet with class 3 hitting a player wearing class 2, we can say ~35% of the projectile's damage to be negated, however most still passing through)
TaC armor acts as a firstly health pool, if your armor takes damage and is a higher class then the projectile, all damage will be absorbed by the armor before transferring to the player, if the armor takes "zeroing" damage, or the last bullet before it's health/durability hits 0, it will still negate the full projectiles damage
Armor will be repairable in a few ways
1: Temporarily, using plates you can fix a certain portion of your armor, each use reduces the maximum reparability each time (meaning no matter how many plates used, you'll be stuck at the hard limit, such as each plate blacking out 2%, while repairing 20%)
2: Using a form of table, undecided yet, it with some resources from the plates craft (similar to later upcoming weapon durability) would fix the entire set of armor, including the percentage of blacked out durability
3: I don't confirm but I do have an idea on including Minecraft Mending as well, or a form of it for more intense gameplay, such as auto repair per kill, dependent on either player or mob kill for example, could be fun but may be togglable entirely, it just a concept I have!

It likely would be a single repair bench that weapons and armor use alike, since weapons will as well have a durability system to pay attention to, having the dual role system should be well effective
2022-11-09 14:56:32 +0000 UTCI'm liking what I'm hearing I got a suggestion about what the table could look like to block long the left side has a mini armour stand and a few tools laying around and the right side could just have a piece of armour there just for show
