I’m a few years late, but I had to point out: what are the odds that the player who claimed to be a god was simply lying? As in, in-character. I could totally imagine someone in a fantasy world like that making a bold claim to get out of trouble or manipulate people, and that would be a valid thing for a PC to do. It also makes sense as to why the player didn’t want to change his backstory for the DM later.

2022-03-08 21:37:40 +0000 UTCI think that the most popular actual play in the world relies too much on revealing secrets and also is pretty opaque about DM/player collaboration. Ironically they definitely play with a complete and total "DM is the world and players are their characters" philosophy BUT a viewer who doesn't know much about D&D might not pick up on that and just pick up on the idea of it's cool and fun to have a secret from other players--I know that I was certainly disappointed by how non-earth-shattering my character reveal was in my first proper campaign.

I've only watched boss baby one, but it legitimately has a pretty big world which I think would be fine for DND. The actual plot of the movie is about a dystopian baby world and how a corrupt business baby is taking control of it by sending all of his competitors to the human world to be born... Riveting stuff.

We had one rooster that was super mean, if you ever turned your back on him he would charge at you and try to attack you. Once he snuck up behind me and attacked my leg. I ended up with a baseball size deep purple bruise on the side of my leg.
