Does anyone know what race Syb is? Forgot how much I loved them and I want to draw them, but cant remember if its mentioned. Are they human? Halfling?

Zirky V from Thornkirk-ee with the final blow for victory!

Bryce Peterson

I'm only 11 minutes in and I just want to say we better start calling this NPC Willy Big Crits....

Matt Davis

The "honk" bit is one of my favorites😂

Justin Murphy

im relistening to eldermourne rn and i forgot how much i love and miss syb

Mandy R

“Maybe we should all be third mate… that way there’s no chance of mutiny”

soyyyyyysauce

“I like my captains cursed” ❤️

soyyyyyysauce

I am probably in the minority but I prefer the rhymes over the honk/bonk nonsense. It was funny the first 2 times but it got old fast.

SecondBreakfast

"Maybe bookvar should be the captain" ...spoilers /s

The Seasonal Goblin

I was reminded of the "wake over" idea today when my 7-year-old patient was performing surgery on her dolls (a common game for kids with chronic illnesses.) She said that she wanted them to be happy when they woke up so she did their makeup while they were sleeping. She then gave them mirrors as they were waking up so they could "forget about the surgery and just be pretty and happy."

That is so wonderful to hear! We're grateful we could help keep you company on your journey to becoming a REAL-LIFE CLERIC/DRUID! Congratulations! You've made us all proud! ~Caldwell

Thanks so much to the choo choo crew for suggesting better help to their listeners, I recently started counseling, and I’ve felt better than I have in months! I owe you all big thanks for suggesting them!

I owe you guys a huge thanks, I just passed my registration test to be a fully licensed Vet Tech and I have been listening to you guys for the past month of studying. You guys kept me calm, and made me laugh throughout this stressful time. Thank you so much.

Probably too late to the game on this but I’m curious about Murph saying that the River they’re currently in is manmade. How would this fantasy world dig out a river? By hand? Magic? Is there machinery? OR is it a giant creature(maybe a 20 ft tall Mole?) who trades it’s services for treasure or favors?

Two little questions : When Madam Whitlocke recalled her troops, what did they other allies do now that they weren't fighting the guards anymore? The crew still only had one ally action per turn. Where did the lovely accent and broken Common of Fia come from? It didn't seem that people from her village spoke like her. Bukvar doesn't either.

Garga Lenoir

Started a Spotify playlist about Campaign 2 called “Eldermourne Shanties” for anyone interested 🎶

okay, "WAKE-over" was so clever... "I woke up like this" but also it happens while you're sleeping like you're the body at a wake

Third Mates > Train of Pain

I will be forever laughing at how Jake went with a simple “hardwon surefoot” for every intro for dozens of episodes to avoid the pressure of coming up with a rhyme, but is now somehow responsible for “setting the precedent” of whether they do honks or rhymes and everyone is yelling at him, man Jake I feel for you! 😂

Britt Murphy

Just tossing this out there .... Syb x zirk ... really hoping syb makes their return in the future I already have gotten so attached to them!!

Marissa

I second this!

Logan

I love that when it was finally Zirk’s turn, he went for the Firebolt, which was a d10... it was a redemption from rolling terribly with the 2 d10’s crit before. So glad he’s not dead!

Garrett Morrow

Yo... I didn’t know I was going to cry tonight.

Jeremiah Pennell

Emily's eloquence is magical! Fia: "Mr. Henry, the rain seems to find your face the most"

Jeffrey Steck, Lord of the Fjord

Uh oh...they forgot to scatter Fergus's bones...

grodon909

What a short but thick 'sode.

Brother Lagniappe

That was one emotionally thicc with two Cs ‘sode

Rachel Schapiro

Loving eldeourne, almost has that canary row vibe which is really cool. Also that last image of them on the boat is so chill and visceral - someone with some iota of skill should draw it!

SebbitySwooty (Seb K)

Loved hearing the backstories told aloud to each other. Such a cute episode! Also, super grateful to Emily for roleplaying with a Slavic accent. Desperately need the regular exposure since I'm running a Strahd campaign and made the mistake of using that accent for the Barovians from the start.

Katherine Clarke

another short sode! camonnn

Enahs

i honestly like “the third mates” as an eldermourne crew nickname rather than “the choochoo crew” since it seems a bit more organic/less self referential

H-Train

Solid episode!! :D love thinking of how mad Madame Whitlock was after snapping her parasol and watching Fia mend it and walk away giddy

Broghar The Bugbear

How funny would it be if they brought him on for another holiday special, and he got them TPK'd again XD

Broghar The Bugbear

I was trying my hardest not to laugh out loud when everyone was falling into the covered pool! Serves me right for only listening to podcasts at work

Brendan Watroba

The title of this episode is so somber it gave me ✨anxiety✨ The first half of this episode I was just repeating “Bryan have mercy!!”😂

Sabrina Bernaby

I just googled this term, and went down a delightful and unexpected rabbit hole of people who make quarantine boats. - Emily

Not Another D&D Podcast

this fear has crossed my mind ever since Murph brought up the sorceress, since he knew fia's story all along, and I am terrified. It would mean she had switched to the reaper's side!! Little fang can't take that! -Emily

Not Another D&D Podcast

Its the Fenrose Bug-out Boat! ⛵

Whitney Peterson

imagine fig & syb Fig Faeth: "I know I can be hard to read - like I keep things close to my chest." Syb: "Yeah like me too? Like I'm really good at hiding things? Even though to be vulnerable is to connect and connection is something I both deeply yearn for yet flee from every time it is presented to me?" ...they'd be best friends

joel

So when do we get to see Amir kill these characters?

Jaydon

I may be stuck at home and having to work remotely but every Friday I get to be transported to a fantasy world with amazing characters. Thank y'all for all you do. Also I wonder if spridle flying over to have after zirk said he would promise anything will have any consequences

J-Bru

I thought I'd never love a PC as much as I love Moonshine, but Fia is so brilliant. I adore her. Emily's incredible.

Crits

I’m just here for the intros

Jaydon

Absolutely heartwarming. I had the biggest smile on my face by the end.

Nolan Childerhose

Such a good episode! I’m so fascinated by the time magic / reincarnation angle — it’s so fairytale and different! My fingers are crossed for Irina being the powerful new sorceress in the petty king’s court

Emily Lalande

SOOOOO... In Bahumia, you had Marty big crits ... In Eldermourne, can we say that you have Marcy big crits?! 😱😱🤯

JoWade

Thanks for another great 'sode y'all! Its been a really tough week for me, so its really nice to hear a story told by far-away friends. <3

Gobstoppable Goose

I am loving this setting, I played so much Diablo this is just my jam. Awesome job Murph! (And of course the players too for filling the world with doleful delights)

Vince Mascoli

Oh thank god this one had such a nice ending before going into the DK one shot! I couldn’t handle another cliffhanger of last week’s magnitude.

Pensulliwen

This was a thick 'sode for sure!

Christian A. Jacobsen

What I want to know is what level is Sewastion after a day full of combat encounters and killing people?

Fetterccino

Fia and Madame Whitlocke should kiss

Jude Seimon

Fia's backstory is so heartbreaking and everytime we hear a little i want to know more. I love this new angle y'all are taking with the story after campaign 1, can't wait to meet all these characters from their pasts!

Steph

I think it's pretty well established that Sib is nonbianary.

Lori P.

I don't think we're gonna get into the specifics of breaking up his bones! A cool line, but not a super fun scene to narrate. The spirit of the promise was very much fulfilled. - Murph

Not Another D&D Podcast

I can't help but notice an absolute flurry of they/their/them in referring to Sib. Can I be hopeful?

Billie Ash

Technically didn't they break their promise to the banshee? I mean they were supposed to do more than kill Fergus

Jason Matthews

Just heard the part where Fia mentions she'd prefer to be a hopeful fool than a cynical person, and Emily, that really hit home for me. Thank you

thaesimir .

Such a sick campaign so far and love that the honk has returned!

Ricardo

Thank you for the new ep!!! We’re so appreciative of all your guy’s hard work!! Now go get some sleep now please 💖😂

Sabrina Bernaby

This battle has been awesome can't wait to hear how it turns out!

Babygramps

Oh yeah folks, let's do this
