Can confirm that the “haunted” and “not haunted” real estate signs—especially in the French Quarter—are a bit of a joke for the locals, since New Orleans is one of the most haunted cities in the country. The house I grew up in was built in 1835 & had 2 known deaths in it, and at least one of the ghosts used to set fires whenever we had house parties!
