Been thinking lately about builds to take advantage of the echo knight abilities alongside the unarmed combat, why doesn’t Jake use his main character as a grappler while your echo deals the damage. Could make for some fun scenes, or just two guys jumping somebody unarmed. Like Naruto shadow clones lmaoo

Also, question for Emily: Have you at all looked into the Order of Scribes Wizard subclass? It’s the newest Wizard subclass in UA and it’s all based around having a living spellbook that enhances your spells. It’d also add some potential Drama down the road since the level 17 feature lets you avoid death by sacrificing pages in your spellbook.

It may have already been mentioned but Wizards added an Unarmed Fighting Style in UA a couple of months ago. Your Unarmed Strikes deal 1d6+STR and you deal an extra 1d4 damage to creatures you are grappling. Also regarding skill checks, in case you weren't aware, you aren't obligated you use the indicated attributes when making skill checks. It's perfectly rules legal for someone to make for example, a Strength-based Intimidation check, or a Constitution-based Athletics check, if it fits the context.

Murph there are variant rules in the PHB for skill checks, Fia could do a Persuasion (Intelligence) (for example) check using her knowledge of magic or something. It's situational but let's the Geeky Blinders not automatically fail every social interaction lol

In 3.5 there were several types of bonuses to different abilities, skills, and/or AC: Enhancement, Circumstance, Luck, Sacred, Resistance, Morale, Deflection, Natural Armor, Competence, Insight, Racial, Shield, Size, and a few more. In 5e it's just Advantage and Proficiency modifier. Much simpler.
