FAQ: How to Access and Listen to Patreon-Exclusive Episodes

Howdy Naddpoles!

We've gotten a lot of messages from folks who are having issues listening to our bonus content; and so we've put together this quick guide to help you troubleshoot any and all audio problems that might arise! Hope it helps!

1. The Patreon App / Website Won't Let Me Stream Old Short Rests or Mixed Bags. How Do I Fix It?

Unfortunately, the Patreon app / website can be a little buggy. Normally the problem will resolve itself if you close your browser / app and then reopen it. You can also follow this troubleshooting guide found on the Patreon Support website.

HOWEVER,  for an optimal listening experience, we recommend adding the patreon-exclusive RSS Link into your favorite podcast app. If you're not sure how to use or find that link, please check out Question 2 below.

2. Where Can I Find My Private RSS Feed Link?

Your RSS Feed Link is found in the "My Membership" section of our Patreon. Simply click this link...

...and scroll down to the box labelled "Private RSS Link."

NOTE: If your version of Patreon doesn't have a "My Membership" section. You can find the RSS Link in the "Overview" section. If you're still having trouble finding this link, click here for more support.

Once you have the RSS Link copied, simply add it to the podcast player of your choice. For a complete list of podcast apps that support Patreon RSS Links, click here!

3. How do I add an RSS Link to a Podcast App or Player?

This varies for each service. For example, in the Apple Podcast App, you'll need to select the Library tab, then select "Edit" followed by the "Add a Podcast by URL..." option. For PocketCasts, simply follow the instructions found here.

Most podcast apps that support Patreon links will have an FAQ section that should help you locate the RSS submission area.

4.  My Podcast App Stopped Adding New Episodes OR is Deleting Old Ones.

If this happens, all you need to do is remove the RSS Feed from your podcast player, then re-add the link. Be sure to use the link from the "My Membership" section and NOT the link you received in an email, as that link might not be compatible with the latest version of your podcast app.

If none of these solutions work for you, please submit a service request to Patreon. It'll help improve Patreon for both us and all the other creators you subscribe to!

Thanks again for all your generous support. We hope you find this guide helpful, and that it makes listening to our show an even more enjoyable experience!

Did you ever get a resolution on this? I'm also using pocket casts - was a previous patron and it worked, canceled, re-upped and it won't work any longer. Mine won't let me play any of them, even the ones that I got when I was a patron originally

uninstall and reinstall did not help

have a pic of my current patreon feed but can't link it. latest ep is "short rest episode 41 Attack the tower"

Major Boney

previous patron here, the rss link on pocketcasts only brings up short rest eps that i was patron'd for in the old times. no eldermourne, dnd court or current campaign. might be a pocket cast issue, but i've never had a problem with other podcasts that i had unpatron'd and re-up'd the sub later

I've been try to put the rss feed on podcast addicts, and it doesn't ever connect. I wanted to see what other people were doing to get it to work.

Are they not on here much?

Ciao

Thanks for putting this together. This is so so much better than trying to listen on patreon or download short rests to my phone.

Aubrey Hatch

Thanks very much for the info! I've been having trouble streaming old short rests on browsers or the Patreon app, now I can load up the RSS feed to rescue myself from the boredom of long night shifts.

Good information for podcast links.

Andrea Menzies

Really wish I'd done this earlier!!

BeyondPod also works wonderfully for me

Yura

I haven't been able to access episodes in the Patreon app for months. I found copying the link for the individual episode and watching it through a webpage works fine.

A rose for the FAQ you joke

Some podcast apps wont allow the rss feed link, it helped me a lot. See this link: https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005429546-Podcast-apps-that-my-custom-audio-RSS-link-will-work-with

The livestreams are through YouTube, so I believe you'll need a YT / Google account! ~Caldwell

Not Another D&D Podcast

How do we chat with jake/Caldwell during those live-streams?
