The events of 'Who Endures' have come and gone, and twenty years have passed since the trial of the Pope brought first contact between the Mother of Terror and the Beastmen of the Triumvirate. The prophecy of twenty years before is coming to its fruition, and war becomes inevitable. The Devor, the Tlalmok, and the Tlachopan will must their armies against the Aiwenorian Empire and the Sorcerous Empire, and those who believed they were at the top will learn that they were only a few inches up the base of the mountain of power, not at the peak as they supposed.

So you'll end up seeing a lot from the perspective of the Triumvirate after a long period of setup to establish that the Empire is making ready.
