New Release: But I Don't Want to be Emperor
Added 2020-12-13 22:12:18 +0000 UTCSo I wrote the first chapter of 'But I Don't Want to be Emperor' the other day, sent it off to the client, who loved it.
This follows the story of Caelian Sola, the eight son of an great emperor in a fictional country. The young man has never had to work for anything in his life, and he positively hates the idea of doing so. In fact he hates the notion of work entirely. He would rather laze about his harem and recline in comfort all day long. He never had to worry about the prospect of really working, because he was so far removed from the throne.
However, when certain ministers learn that the dying old emperor intended to name his eldest son as successor, they murder him and forge a document wherein the young eighth son is named as the ruler, believing he will be the easiest for them to control.
He of course, is horrified and plans to escape his responsibilities as soon as possible. He isn't without his virtues of course... and one of his strengths is...
He always finds a way to make things easier. How well will that work out?
Well I like endings like I like my chocolate, dark, bitter sweet, and worth the effort to find.
