Hairy Piloswine

Happy Friday everyone!

I have just uploaded the newest file and my first attempt at something hairy! As you might be able to tell from the photos, it is Piloswine but I have done the model with some "lifelike" hair.

The hair gets printed out horizontally to the shell around the model and once you remove the shell with a sharp blade (just slide it along the inside of the shell) you should have what looks like a bit of a toilet brush! You can see what it should look like in picture 4. You will then have to take some heat to the hair, I used a hair dryer, and you wont need a lot of heat so go slow and start to style it downward. like I said, slower is better so the hair doesn't melt together.

Once you have it the way you like, feel free to give it a bit of a trim with some scissors to clean it up.

No supports for this one and if you do scale it, it will have to be a full 200%. The strands of hair are made at 0.4mm thick so just keep that in mind. I haven't tested a scaled version either so print a your own risk. I also printed mine at a 0.2mm layer height.

Let me know what you think and I can't wait to see your prints of this, definitely a fun one!
