Tony is definitely a butt hurt, emotionally unstable, hormone imbalanced teenager. I’m sure whatever fling Cody had on the side was just that. Disgustingly enough a male teenagers sex drive matches that of a middle aged woman. So I’m sure he was going to her for sex and Tony was his love. But Tony already had jealousy towards Mickie, and when she started noticing something was up she thought it was her. So I’m guessing she told Cody either we take her off the board or I’m out, therefore he went along. Probably had no clue the result would even be murder. She probably had him thinking she was either gonna just talk it out or beat her up. Cause otherwise the entire weird trial scenario doesn’t make sense.

My theory is that Cody was angling towards trying to be with the older woman he was seeing so that was his motive at first. Then when he realized that couldn’t be a thing he tried to make up for it by not ratting on Tony for the deal. He probably manipulated the entire thing including making Tony jealous enough to want to hurt Mickie. 🤷🏼♀️ 🧐
