Weekend Update #14

Happy Mondays!

I meant to post this update last week but a steamroller of computer malfunctions ravaged my PC last week that was ""fun"" to worked with. Around Wednesday during a render session, my monitor started to randomly shut off for a few seconds then turn on with a "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered." error. I thought this was just some isolated issue with the scene taking up too much VRAM so I didn't mind it at first but after that it would do it again. Not just that, sometimes my computer would just freeze or at worst, restart losing unsaved scenes. Most of it would occur when I render but opening the browser or Photoshop triggered it too. Sometimes I can render scenes for a few hours without encountering it but it would happen again after awhile. I reinstalled my drivers, heck, even my OS and thought that would be the end of it but it didn't and I surmised it was one of the hardware. You see, my PC, with the exception of the GPU, is almost 7 years old, so who knows which one was causing this... well, 'til Tuesday morning came. I turned on my PC to only be greeted by a series of beeps. Searched what's it about and discovered that it was a hardware failure, particularly the RAM. So, I removed one of the RAM and... it beeped again. Replaced it with the other one and... it worked! At that moment, it felt like one of those "Come to Jesus" moments and me shouting there with "Hallelujah!". If that part didn't fail, I would've probably bought another GPU prematurely because I was convinced it was the one causing it. Now, the "perks" of having a 7 year old hardware is replacing it with a 7 year old technology like DDR3! Most of the shops I went to have none in stock or have a single 4GB or 2GB stick which is far too small for my needs. I just ordered online. I can still use my PC with 4GB but rendering is a no go. So all in all, it was very tiring week for me but you're not here to listen to my miserable life but the progress of the game dev!

If you notice, the progress jumped from 20% to 40%! Basically, it means I finished the scenes for 2 quests in Priscilla's path. So, 50% means the scenes for the 3rd quest is finished, 60% the 4th, 70%, the 5th, and 80%, the 6th quest and final quest scenes for Prii's path is finished! 90% means the coding/writing is finished and testing is underway. 100 is, you guessed it, the answer to 44 + 56!

Anyways, that's all for this Weekend's update! I'll be posting a new NSFW Playbuck preview soon for the First Class and Royal Tier Patrons so watch out!

Cheers,

Weekend Update #14

Comments

Most adult games are free. When somebody is supporting a creator/developer they will always 100% get something in return like early updates, cheats, patreon posts, giving you a chance to vote, exclusive art = secret art as most games call it or even exclusive wallpaper and so many other things. For somebody to get everything the creator/developer gives in patreon you need to give more money lets say somebody gives 5$ he will only get the early update and some patreon posts but if somebody gives 50$ he will get a lot of things but everything depends on the creator/developers. Now as you have said in F95 for this game every patreon post is posted there and i don't think this is right and this is why, When somebody supports a creator/developer no matter how much money they spend the only right they have is on patreon not on other sites. When somebody posts patreon posts or other stuff from patreon he is breaking the rules and disrespecting the game and the developer and at the same time he does not even have the right to posts them you first need to talk to the creators and if he agrees then post to others lets say free users that is why the developer makes some free posts for everyone and posts for patreon. Why this is happening is because people think that they are helping the developer by posting patreon stuff but they are not they are only encouraging free users to not become supporters and why is this because even if somebody likes the game but gets everything for free on this pirate sites even most are given on the 1 day he will not even support the game why waste money if you can get it for free but if people stopped sending almost everything from patreon to F95 and other sites on the 1 day like updates, posts, votes, and other stuff then the free users can't get it and they will want to support the game and the developer. Not everything is and needs to be public for everyone to see. Just because somebody gives you some rights on 1 site that does not mean you need to abuse it and post it on other sites but people will never understand and they will always try to take it 1 step further. If they think they have the rights to post it on other sites then what about the developers and their rights but nobody is thinking about them.

I don't think you understand what Patreon is. The point of Patreon is for people to support the creators that they like, and to encourage them to keep creating. You aren't actually buying anything by supporting a creator on Patreon, you're giving them incentive to keep creating. A lot of Patreons offer their content for free, usually behind a timed rollout so higher tiered supporters can feel more involved by offering feedback before a more public release etc. The posts you see copied over to other sites are copied at the discretion of individual supporters, that person likely paid to have access to it. That's their prerogative to share. That doesn't mean any feedback on that post will be heard here. At the end of the day, a lot of creators on Patreon are making content that maybe they would make anyway for free, BUT a financial incentive is a nice way to encourage the creator to not stop. If a project isn't making money on a platform designed for making money, whether it be because content is shared freely elsewhere or not, there's a chance that project may get scrapped and a new one takes it's place. The money made is a measure of popularity and if something doesn't seem popular then it might end prematurely. Support the creators making the content you love if you can afford to and want to encourage them. It's that simple.

i saw your game from f95 and in there every patron post is posted so what is the point is supporting your game. I mean if i did i will be supporting you, your game and to say the future of your game but what do i get for myself when in f95 everything is free. I hope what i am writing does not offend you or others but i really don't see the point in doing it that is why i am asking.

Hardware failures are always rough. Hang in there!
