Me and jazz, jazz and DnB
Added 2024-04-11 01:49:06 +0000 UTCLast night when I was talking about R4 music genres with everyone on X (Twitter), the most common keyword was jazz. My father was a bandmaster of a jazz band when he was young, while working in the corporate world. One of the reasons he broke up the band was probably because I was born. I have taken the liberty of living up to his musical baton. Even now, when I talk to him, I feel he is jazz itself. There is no doubt that his cells are made of jazz.
This is what Fabio said when DnB came to Japan.
"Jazzy style has power. There's jazz in every sound, hip-hop, reggae, funk, etc."
It's also a London influence. And my musical element has jazz in it, too, because it's very cool. It's very cool.
All music comes from jazz. All music comes from jazz, even jump-hop and vibe."
