I would ignore those comments and complaints. Every time I have seen THOSE complaints, it is usually people who have no problem with having a harem of women (which is a gross double standard).

Either that or I'm in a better mental state now and it just seems funny to me. Regardless, the comments mentioning that the sex scenes are mid were actually really positive overall and came from a genuine appreciation for the story. The reason for the survey was just so I can make the weaker part of the game better and improve the overall experience. As for the initial scene five minutes in, that was, as with a few of the tropes I tried subverting, something like "this makes no sense, but everybody else is doing it, so how do I make it make sense in the context of the story." Even Rayne's double personality came about from me writing her inconsistently over two scenes and then running with it instead of correcting it. Which is a thing I tell people who I tutor in creative writing--mistakes can breed creativity if you give them a chance and see where they take you.

2023-11-27 13:59:38 +0000 UTCOnly just now getting around to playing v0.1.3c, so I can only comment on sex with Odette after having just reloaded an earlier save to re-experience it. Considering the type of sex it really is, it's fine. I understood/assumed that she was using her tongue during oral, so my imagination did the work there. If you wanna improve that part, either use text to clarify that she got that tongue game down or have a moment in the animation/scene where her tongue is visible (like her pulling her head back after finishing and still having her tongue mid-action. As for the vaginal, sure it could be hotter I guess, but 🤷🏿♂️. Not sure how tbh. And not sure if it should be considering the type of sex it really is. 😐 Everything else in that whole exchange from the couch to the dismissal was solid. Nice seeing some marks on her torso btw. As for other things... Odette's nipples disappear whenever she's talking during the sex scene. Starts at "...wait." and stops after "...it was a joke." btw, and I might've said this months ago, I really dig the Odette & Silver's design. Seriously. Outfit and above neck specifically. Shit, just realized Caleb's circumcised. 🤔

But even with that first one, I enjoyed the slow build-up and the erotic sensual atmosphere much more than the actual sex scene that eventually followed, as it was with someone I felt nothing for, and at the time I only chose it because I wanted to see it. Just a few more AVNs and I experienced outstanding stories that touched me deeply, I haven't cried that much in a long time. Of course sex scenes can be great and intense, but the main reason I keep playing AVNs today are the emotions they make me feel. I especially like roller-coasters where you alternate between feeling miserable and experiencing moments of bliss. Sex scenes don't usually play such a major role in this respect. In this context, I think most AVNs have way too many sex scenes. A lot of AVNs are full of uninspired scenes, with no build-up, no emotion or sensuality, you see them and feel nothing, often they just feel like boring filler that's done just to have more of it. I guess it's a kind of fanservice for all the many people who prefer it to happen every five minutes and don't care too much about emotion or story. To be frank, I was also initially disappointed with the very first sex scene one can have in your game. I especially despise this trope "You're new here? Never seen you before. Wanna fuck?" This seems to be something a lot of college game writers use to have the first sex scenes just five minutes into the game to keep people playing. It just seems stupid. But very soon, after learning about his specific person, I changed my mind. For me, to this day, Zero End is the only game with this kind of early scene which doesn't make me cringe. Anyway, I don't even know how many sex scenes there are in the game so far. In my only playthrough so far, I've experienced that very early scene I just mentioned, and a passionate, spur of the moment scene with a very dangerous fanged person. That later scene actually made me feel bad afterwards as I wished I was more resistant and didn't give in. I loved that. The question of what can be improved is a difficult one. What I personally like most are slow build-ups, full of obstacles, deep emotions and passion that can culminate in sex. For me, this way the sex scenes are the most intense. I apologize, I'm not good at describing these things and therefore probably no help. I just hope your skin is thick enough to not let these comments hurt you too much. Zero End is one of the most interesting AVNs out there and I am glad to have discovered it.

Only issue is most of the scenes felt like they were on different paths so unless you're exploring you won't see some/most of them. Its nice to have meaningful choices though. The Swansong scene was great even if I went back on my save and then avoided it after Marie's comment. Brianna was surprisingly hot and I'm interested to see where that will go.

For another comparison, how long would a vampire last without drinking blood? According to some lore, not very long. So, a succubus having sex is a natural story progression.:)

However, the best advice I can give is: If a scene can go without sex for a narrative reason, it can. If sex is a natural path for a particular scene, go for it.:)
